Photoshoot with Alvar Silvennoinen
We started off by discussing a theme with Alvar Silvennoinen that would represent him and his career identity. His passion was born from his love for concrete and minimalism. So we chose an environment that represented his style in architecture. There we shot the pictures capturing the texture of concrete and playing with shadows and reflections to give a creative impression of his minimalistic style.

The idea grew from a thought of self in a dream inspired by a person driving from the local shop holding the steering wheel with his knees and checking his wallet. At the time, it resonated with me, and somehow I ended up painting it with influences of Japanese culture and anime. The idea was then shaped into this nonchalant character smoking a cigarette and reading the bible on the freeway, believing in his faith to guide him as he races towards the light.
Bullyukko

”Bullyukko” is a name and a play on words. Bully means to bully and ”ukko” is Finnish for ”old man”. In Finnish, ”b” is often pronounced hard as ”p” making him ”Puliukko”. This word is used in the Finnish language to describe a homeless drunkard that rambles around sometimes disturbing people.
”Bullyukko” is a skinless albino with hetero-chromatic eyes. He is one reincarnation of god coming to re-live the suffering that has been created. As an albino with hetero-chromatic eyes, he represents the minority in society. He has been bullied all his life but still comes with compassion for everyone, for he is not what he is bullied for, he is merely the mirror image of the people.
